The structures involved in the large-scale retail sector (shopping centers, supermarkets, shops, distribution centers, warehouses, etc.) can be exposed to major risks of air and water contamination and transmission of infectious diseases such as legionellosis. There are many risk factors contributing to Legionella risk. With regard to aeraulic systems, the control of legionellosis is appointed by the Consolidated Safety Act - art. 64, which obliges the employer to regularly maintain and clean the air conditioning systems, both from the State Regions Conference with a detailed technical procedure ratified on February 7, 2013.
The solutions proposed by Sterimed are:
The checks are usually carried out every 6 months for: water sampling and microbiological analysis on significant points of the system cleaning, de-scaling and disinfection storage tanks, boilers, deposits, pipes, filters, water softeners, verification of treatment plants, maintenance and topping up reagents and environmental sanitizing products of all the rooms with the apposition of window stickers and adhesives "environment sanitized according to law."
Instead, the check can be carried out once a year for the services of: video inspection of the aeraulic plants with a descriptive report of the situation (in compliance with the AIADAS NADCA ACR 2013 Guidelines), and every two years for: cleaning, reclamation and sanification of the plant with the affixing of adhesives "Sanitary System according to the Rules of Law."
